Scope

This JDE Privacy Policy governs the collection, use and other forms of processing of personal information of the visitors of this Website by JACOBS DOUWE EGBERTS BV (“JDE Company”). JDE Company is part of the JACOBS DOUWE EGBERTS BV (“JDE”) Group. JDE is committed to respecting and safeguarding your privacy and the security of your personal information you share with us.

From time to time, the Website may provide links to websites from other companies or organizations. You should carefully review the privacy policies of those websites, as they may differ from this Privacy Policy.

Who is responsible for your information?

JACOBS DOUWE EGBERTS BV (“JDE”), Oosterdoksstraat 80, 1011 DK Amsterdam, the Netherlands, is the legal entity ultimate responsible for all collection and all processing of your personal information.

Why do we collect your personal information?

When you choose to register or otherwise contact us, we will ask you for some personal data about you such as your name, address, country of residence, resume and e-mail address. This information enables JDE to:

• administer your account;
• communicate with you in a personal way to your job applications and job application process;
• communicate with you in a personal way to inform you about our other new position matching your profile.

How we collect your personal data?

You can share your personal data with us in a number of ways, for instance by:

• registering your account;
• applying for a certain job by uploading the relevant personal data;
• communicating with our HR department by e-mail, phone or in writing.

How do we share your personal data?

JDE may share your personal data internally with the HR department and hiring department.

JDE may also share your personal data with third party service providers or agents to perform certain processing activities on behalf of JDE. JDE will not sell, rent, lease, or provide your personal data to third parties. JDE requires these service providers to protect your personal data diligently.

We will only release your personal data if so required by law, where necessary for preventing or combating fraud, where necessary for dispute resolution, or for any other pressing legitimate need which under the circumstances must outweigh your privacy interests, such as the security of our business and the safety of our staff.

Your Choices

If you choose to register with us, you authorize JDE and its agents to collect, store, use, disclose, and otherwise process your personal data in connection with the purposes as described above.

If you opt in for the option “Send me an email notification whenever a new position matching my profile is posted (job posting notification)” we will contact you in case of matching job postings.

Registering for JDE SmartRecruiters

We would like to send you information about your job applications, the application process or new positions matching your profile by means of e.g. e-mail, post, or other communication channels, but we will only do so if you specifically consent to receive such communications from us.

Please be informed that your decision not to opt in now will not affect your communication preferences already shared with us earlier while using different contact data or a different user account.

You will always have the opportunity to unsubscribe from any further communication from us with respect to our communication by using one of the following unsubscribe options:

• Send me an email notification whenever a new position matching my profile is posted (job posting notification);
• Send me an email acknowledgment when you receive my job submission
• Send me a rejection letter when my job submission is not selected.

Please note, if you have unsubscribed from any communications, due to the processing time and production schedules, you may still receive communications already in production.

How do we protect your information?

JDE will take appropriate technical and organizational security measures against loss or unlawful processing of this data. This may include using secure registration forms, encryption of data, and restricting access to your personal information.

How long do we retain your personal data?

We will retain your personal data within a reasonable timeframe after your last activity or as long as you are a candidate on an active requisition.

If you do not want your personal data to be retained, you can delete your account and all data via selecting “deactivate” in the account menu. Your data is then deleted from the servers and will be permanently deleted in the next backup cycle.

We will only retain personal data related to your account to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Transfer of data

In case of you are selected and accepted the job offer, you data will be transferred to local HR department for administration purposes and drafting the contract. You should be aware that JDE is located around the world. As a consequence your personal information may be transferred within the JDE group of companies.

Please note that some third countries, like the US, do not provide for an adequate level of protection of your personal data. However, you can be assured that JDE will take appropriate safeguards to ensure the confidentiality and security of your data.

JDE shall remain responsible in case of onward transfers to third parties   to support JDE purposes only. Any other use of the Personal Data by third-party providers is prohibited.

All third-party providers receiving Personal Data from the European Union and/or Switzerland agree to (i) process the Personal Data only to the extent required by JDE and in accordance with JDE’s instructions and (ii) comply with the applicable data protection laws for transfer and processing of Personal Data and (iii) provide adequate technical and organization measures to protect the Personal Data.

To this end, we use the European Standard Contract clauses (http://ec.europa.eu/justice/data-protection/international-transfers/index_en.htm) with our processors and sub processors in order to guarantee the privacy and the security of your personal data.

When you submit your application, you agree to this Privacy Policy and, in particular, you expressly agree to the transfer of your personal data for the purposes described in that Privacy Policy.

A cookie is a tiny data file, which is stored on your computer within the web browser, when certain web pages are visited. Waarom verzamelen wij uw persoonsgegevens?

Wanneer u ervoor kiest zich te registreren of anderszins contact met ons opneemt, zullen wij u om enkele persoonsgegevens over u vragen, zoals uw naam, adres, land van verblijf, cv en e-mailadres. Deze informatie maakt het JDE mogelijk om:

• uw account te beheren;
• op een persoonlijke manier met u te communiceren over uw sollicitaties en de sollicitatieprocedure;
• op een persoonlijke manier met u te communiceren over onze andere nieuwe functies die bij uw profiel passen.

Hoe verzamelen wij uw persoonsgegevens?

U kunt uw persoonsgegevens op een aantal manieren met ons delen, bijvoorbeeld door:

• een account aan te maken;
• te solliciteren op een bepaalde functie door de relevante persoonsgegevens te uploaden;
• met onze HR-afdeling te communiceren via e-mail, telefoon of brief.

Hoe delen wij uw persoonsgegevens?

JDE kan uw persoonsgegevens intern delen met de HR-afdeling en de afdeling waar de vacature open staat.

JDE kan uw persoonsgegevens ook delen met externe dienstverleners of agenten om bepaalde verwerkingsactiviteiten namens JDE uit te voeren. JDE verkoopt, verhuurt, least of verstrekt uw persoonsgegevens niet aan derden. JDE eist van deze dienstverleners dat zij uw persoonsgegevens zorgvuldig beschermen.

Verder zullen wij uw persoonsgegevens alleen vrijgeven indien dat wettelijk vereist is, waar nodig ter voorkoming of bestrijding van fraude, als dat nodig is voor geschillenbeslechting, of als er sprake is van een andere dringende legitieme noodzaak die onder de omstandigheden zwaarder moet wegen dan uw privacybelangen, zoals de beveiliging van onze onderneming en de veiligheid van onze medewerkers.

Uw keuzes

Als u ervoor kiest om zich bij ons te registreren, machtigt u JDE en haar agenten om uw persoonsgegevens te verzamelen, op te slaan, te gebruiken, bekend te maken en anderszins te verwerken in verband met de hierboven beschreven doeleinden.

Als u zich aanmeldt voor de optie "stuur me een e-mailmelding wanneer een nieuwe vacature die overeenkomt met mijn profiel wordt gepost (vacaturemelding)", zullen wij contact met u opnemen als er een geschikte vacature is.

Aanmelden voor JDE SmartRecruiters

We willen u graag informatie sturen over uw sollicitaties, het sollicitatieproces of nieuwe vacatures die overeenkomen met uw profiel door middel van bijvoorbeeld e-mail, post of andere communicatiekanalen, maar we doen dit alleen als u expliciet instemt met het ontvangen van dergelijke berichten van ons.

Houd er rekening mee dat uw beslissing om u niet aan te melden geen invloed heeft op uw communicatievoorkeuren die al eerder met ons zijn gedeeld bij het gebruiken van verschillende contactgegevens of een ander gebruikersaccount.

U hebt altijd de mogelijkheid om u uit te schrijven voor verdere berichtgeving van ons met betrekking tot onze communicatie door een van de volgende afmeldingsopties te gebruiken:

• Stuur me een e-mailmelding wanneer een nieuwe vacature die overeenkomt met mijn profiel wordt gepost (vacaturemelding);
• Stuur me een e-mailbevestiging wanneer mijn sollicitatie ontvangen is.
• Stuur me een afwijzingsbrief als mijn sollicitatie niet geselecteerd is.

Houd er rekening mee dat als u zich hebt afgemeld voor berichten u mogelijk vanwege de verwerkingstijd en planning nog wel communicatie kunt ontvangen die al in behandeling is.

Hoe beschermen wij uw persoonsgegevens?

JDE zal passende technische en organisatorische beveiligingsmaatregelen treffen tegen verlies of onrechtmatige verwerking van deze gegevens. Dit kan het gebruik van beveiligde registratieformulieren, versleuteling van gegevens en beperking van de toegang tot uw persoonsgegevens omvatten.

Hoe lang bewaren wij uw persoonsgegevens?

We bewaren uw persoonsgegevens binnen een redelijke tijdspanne na uw laatste activiteit of zolang u kandidaat bent in een actieve werving.

Als u niet wilt dat uw persoonsgegevens worden bewaard, kunt u uw account en alle gegevens verwijderen door "deactiveren" in het accountmenu te selecteren. Uw gegevens worden vervolgens van de servers verwijderd en zullen bij de volgende back-upcyclus permanent worden verwijderd.

We bewaren alleen persoonsgegevens met betrekking tot uw account om te voldoen aan onze wettelijke verplichtingen, geschillen op te lossen en onze overeenkomsten uit te voeren.

Overdracht van gegevens

In het geval dat u geselecteerd bent voor de functie en deze hebt geaccepteerd, worden uw gegevens overgedragen aan de lokale HR-afdeling voor administratieve doeleinden en het opstellen van het contract. U dient zich ervan bewust te zijn dat JDE vestigingen heeft over de hele wereld. Als gevolg hiervan kunnen uw persoonsgegevens worden overgedragen binnen de ondernemingen van de JDE-groep.

Houd er rekening mee dat sommige derde landen, zoals de VS, niet voorzien in een adequaat niveau van bescherming van uw persoonsgegevens. U kunt er echter zeker van zijn dat JDE passende voorzorgsmaatregelen heeft genomen om de vertrouwelijkheid en veiligheid van uw gegevens te waarborgen.

JDE blijft verantwoordelijk in het geval van verdere overdracht aan derden, uitsluitend ter ondersteuning van JDE-doeleinden. Elk ander gebruik van de persoonsgegevens door externe leveranciers is verboden.

Alle externe providers die persoonsgegevens ontvangen uit de Europese Unie en/of Zwitserland stemmen ermee in om (i) de persoonsgegevens alleen te verwerken voor zover vereist door JDE en in overeenstemming met de instructies van JDE en (ii) te voldoen aan de toepasselijke wetgeving inzake gegevensbescherming voor overdracht en verwerking van persoonsgegevens en (iii) te zorgen voor adequate technische en organisatorische maatregelen om de persoonsgegevens te beschermen.

Daartoe maken we gebruik van de Europese standaardbepalingen (http://ec.europa.eu/justice/data-protection/international-transfers/index_en.htm) in de overeenkomsten met onze verwerkers en subverwerkers om de privacy en veiligheid van uw persoonsgegevens te kunnen garanderen.

Wanneer u solliciteert, stemt u in met dit privacybeleid en in het bijzonder stemt u expliciet in met de overdracht van uw persoonsgegevens voor de in dat privacybeleid omschreven doeleinden.

Cookies

Een cookie is een klein gegevensbestand dat in de webbrowser op uw computer wordt opgeslagen wanneer bepaalde webpagina's worden bezocht.
