When you choose to register or otherwise contact us, we will ask you for some personal data about you such as your name, address, country of residence, resume and e-mail address. This information enables JDE to:

• administer your account;
• communicate with you in a personal way to your job applications and job application process;
• communicate with you in a personal way to inform you about our other new position matching your profile.

How we collect your personal data?

You can share your personal data with us in a number of ways, for instance by:

• registering your account;
• applying for a certain job by uploading the relevant personal data;
• communicating with our HR department by e-mail, phone or in writing.

How do we share your personal data?

JDE may share your personal data internally with the HR department and hiring department.

JDE may also share your personal data with third party service providers or agents to perform certain processing activities on behalf of JDE. JDE will not sell, rent, lease, or provide your personal data to third parties. JDE requires these service providers to protect your personal data diligently.

We will only release your personal data if so required by law, where necessary for preventing or combating fraud, where necessary for dispute resolution, or for any other pressing legitimate need which under the circumstances must outweigh your privacy interests, such as the security of our business and the safety of our staff.

If you choose to register with us, you authorize JDE and its agents to collect, store, use, disclose, and otherwise process your personal data in connection with the purposes as described above.

If you opt in for the option “Send me an email notification whenever a new position matching my profile is posted (job posting notification)” we will contact you in case of matching job postings.

Registering for JDE SmartRecruiters

We would like to send you information about your job applications, the application process or new positions matching your profile by means of e.g. e-mail, post, or other communication channels, but we will only do so if you specifically consent to receive such communications from us.

Please be informed that your decision not to opt in now will not affect your communication preferences already shared with us earlier while using different contact data or a different user account.

You will always have the opportunity to unsubscribe from any further communication from us with respect to our communication by using one of the following unsubscribe options:

• Send me an email notification whenever a new position matching my profile is posted (job posting notification);
• Send me an email acknowledgment when you receive my job submission
• Send me a rejection letter when my job submission is not selected.

Please note, if you have unsubscribed from any communications, due to the processing time and production schedules, you may still receive communications already in production.

How do we protect your information?

JDE will take appropriate technical and organizational security measures against loss or unlawful processing of this data. This may include using secure registration forms, encryption of data, and restricting access to your personal information.

How long do we retain your personal data?

We will retain your personal data within a reasonable timeframe after your last activity or as long as you are a candidate on an active requisition.

If you do not want your personal data to be retained, you can delete your account and all data via selecting “deactivate” in the account menu. Your data is then deleted from the servers and will be permanently deleted in the next backup cycle.

We will only retain personal data related to your account to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Transfer of data

In case of you are selected and accepted the job offer, you data will be transferred to local HR department for administration purposes and drafting the contract. You should be aware that JDE is located around the world. As a consequence your personal information may be transferred within the JDE group of companies.

Please note that some third countries, like the US, do not provide for an adequate level of protection of your personal data. However, you can be assured that JDE will take appropriate safeguards to ensure the confidentiality and security of your data.

JDE shall remain responsible in case of onward transfers to third parties   to support JDE purposes only. Any other use of the Personal Data by third-party providers is prohibited.

All third-party providers receiving Personal Data from the European Union and/or Switzerland agree to (i) process the Personal Data only to the extent required by JDE and in accordance with JDE’s instructions and (ii) comply with the applicable data protection laws for transfer and processing of Personal Data and (iii) provide adequate technical and organization measures to protect the Personal Data.

To this end, we use the European Standard Contract clauses (http://ec.europa.eu/justice/data-protection/international-transfers/index_en.htm) with our processors and sub processors in order to guarantee the privacy and the security of your personal data.

When you submit your application, you agree to this Privacy Policy and, in particular, you expressly agree to the transfer of your personal data for the purposes described in that Privacy Policy.
