Saimaza was created in Sevilla around 1937, in Goyoneta Street. Its founder Joaquin Sainz de la Mata opened his first shop around 1908 in Sevilla, 25 years later he became the third national coffee importer of Spain.

Once Joaquin Sainz de la Mata died, two of his sons continued with the business & in 1982 they opened the most modern coffee fabrics of Europe, in Dos Hermanas (Sevilla). In 1983 Kraft Foods bought the company.

Today, Saimaza is available in all varieties including the single-serve compatible capsules
